Since leaving my London studio and moving to the beautiful North Devon coast, I’ve had to adapt from shooting mostly products and still life to things a little more relevant to where I now live. I still have my own studio which I use for product, packaging and food photography. But tourism is the main source of income for this area so naturally that is where a lot of my work now comes from. Hotels, guest houses and B&Bs as well as holiday cottages all need images for their websites and other marketing literature. Better images mean better sales.
Restaurants and holiday parks also feature heavily on my current client list. Clients in the hospitality industry are especially keen on 360° photography. This allows the potential customer to 'walk through' the experience of being in a restaurant, hotel room or an entire building. I also use drones to capture aerial views or tours of larger areas outdoors.
I find I get the best results by using professional models, when budget allows, but if needs must we rope in the client's staff and family members (theirs or mine!).
In addition to stills and 360° photography I’ve branched out into film and video, working with Richard Gregory to produce short films for the hotel and tourist industry. Have a look at the Films section on the site to see examples of our work.
